It would also be helpful to the 2016 Nominating Committee if you could take a few minutes to suggest a name or two for next year's slate of candidates. BOARD CANDIDATE BIOGRAPHIES

Ettore Croci
Ettore Croci is Associate Professor of Finance at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Milan, Italy, since January 2015. Prior to joining Università Cattolica as Assistant Professor in 2011, he was Assistant Professor at Università degli Studi di Milano – Bicocca. Ettore graduated in Business and Economics from the Università Cattolica, and he received his PhD from the University of Lugano (Switzerland). His research focuses on empirical corporate finance and corporate governance. His works have been published in several journals such as the Journal of Corporate Finance, the Journal of Banking and Finance, European Financial Management, and the Journal of Empirical Finance, among others.

Ariadna Dumitrescu
Ariadna Dumitrescu is an Associate Professor of Finance at ESADE Business School. She holds a PhD in Economics from IDEA, Universitat Autònoma Barcelona, and a BA in Mathematics from the University of Bucharest. Her research interests are asset pricing and strategic behaviour in financial markets and her research has been published in journals such as Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Banking and Finance, European Financial Management, and Economics Letters. She has belonged to the Scientific Committees of the Annual Meeting of the European Finance Association 2006-2010, the Annual Meeting of the Financial Management Association 2007, the European Meeting of the Financial Management Association 2007, and the Annual Meeting of the European Financial Management Association 2006, 2016 among others. In 2016 she led the “Merton H. Miller” Doctorate Seminar organized by the European Financial Management Association.

Ranko Jelic
Ranko is a Professor of Finance at University of Sussex. Prior to joining Sussex, he was professor at University of Birmingham and taught at several UK and European universities. His research interests include: corporate finance, management buyouts, private equity, corporate bonds, and privatisation. He has published over thirty academic papers and contributions to research monographs and is ranked among top 3% authors on the Social Sciences Research Network (SSRN). Ranko received personal research grants from UK Institute for Quantitative Investment Research (INQUIRE), Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA), and African Development Bank (ADB). He was also a recipient of the World Bank (IBRD) and Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW) scholarships for his postgraduate studies. Ranko has been an active member of EFMA since 1997.

Grzegorz Pawlina
Grzegorz Pawlina is a Professor of Finance at Lancaster University Management School (since 2013).His research interests focus on dynamic corporate finance, interactions between corporate financing and investment decisions under uncertainty. His work has been published in such journals as Review of Finance, Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Economics and Management Strategy and Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control. It has been presented at international conferences that include the meetings of European Finance Association, European Economic Association and the Econometric Society. He holds a doctorate in Finance from Tilburg University, the Netherlands, and MSc degree in Economics from Warsaw School of Economics.

Liandong Zhang
Liandong Zhang is an Associate Professor of Accountancy at City University of Hong Kong. His current research interests include financial reporting quality, corporate governance, and taxation. His works in these areas have been published in Journal of Financial Economics, Contemporary Accounting Research, Journal of Accounting Research, and The Accounting Review. Dr. Zhang received his Ph.D. degree in accounting from Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) and his B.A. degree in accounting from Tsinghua University (Beijing)
