Dublin Airport currently offers flights to over 200 destinations worldwide and updated information about the connections could be find at link.

Dublin Airport is conveniently located approximately 10km north of Dublin City Centre with access to a large number of buses, coaches and taxis all allowing you to get to and from the airport with ease. View the transport map here for more information on the locations of car parks, bus stops and taxi pick up points.

“The UCD Belfield campus is located in the leafy suburbs of South County Dublin approximately 6.6 kilometres from Dublin City Centre. The 7B, 7D, 39A, 46A, 84X, 145 and 155 buses connect Dublin city centre with the campus. The 39A has its terminus inside the UCD Belfield campus while the others (7B, 7D, 46A, 84X, 145 and 155) let off on the N11 slip road , directly across from the UCD N11 main entrance to the campus.

If staying in two of the recommended hotels on the “recommended hotels” list, the Royal Marine Hotel in Dun Laoghaire or the Talbot Hotel, Stillorgan, these are located to the South of UCD and the campus is accessed by the 46A, 84X, 145, 155 buses going towards the City Centre. This bus stops on the N11 slip road directly outside the entrance to the UCD Belfield campus.

In relation to accessing buses from your hotels in Dublin City Centre the “Dublin Bus” app and the “Transport for Ireland” app, available for both Android and through the Apple App store, are highly recommended. The Dublin Bus app for each bus route indicates every bus stop on a map and gives live information on arrival times. The Transport for Ireland app (Journey Planner) will provide you with information from any location you choose to the UCD Belfield campus, indicating walking time and the relevant bus stop etc. In addition, the Transport for Ireland app gives price information on bus routes from the relevant bus stop to the UCD Belfield campus. Google maps is also very useful for transport and directions.

Please note that buses do not accept banknotes only coins. To save on having to use cash on the buses a solution is to buy a ‘leap card’ for your stay. The leap card can also be used on the train. The leap card can be purchased at the airport or in various locations in the City Centre. Further information on leap cards is available at https://about.leapcard.ie/leap-visitor-card.

A map of the UCD Belfield Campus is available at: https://www.ucd.ie/t4cms/UCD%20Student%20Centre.pdf. The N11 bus stop for the 7B, 7D, 46A, 84X, 145 and 155 is located at grid reference 9A as indicated by the red circle, with a bus inscribed in the circle. The 39A bus stop within the Belfield campus is located at grid reference 10C with a similar red circle. The UCD Quinn School of Business is at building location 49 on the map at grid reference 9D.

Rail Links to Belfield Campus (DART) One advantage of Dublin City over many other capital cities is that it is on the coast. There is a rail service referred to as the DART which covers the Dublin Bay area stretching from the Norse settlement of Howth on the North side of the city of Dublin to Greystones on the Southside. For those conference participants who may prefer a coastal experience to a city centre experience there are a number of picturesque villages lying on the DART network that have accommodation. Recommended villages on the DART rail line to locate accommodation are: Howth, Portmarnock, Malahide, Dun Laoghaire, Dalkey, Bray and Greystones. Please note that DARTs alternate between Howth and Malahide as destinations on the North side of the City and that every second DART stops at Bray on the South side of the City and does not continue to Greystones.

A map of the DART is available from the following link:
http://www.dublintourist.com/maps/dart-and-dublin-suburban-rail-map/

Blackrock DART station connects directly with the UCD Belfield campus via the 17 bus which is located directly outside the DART station. The timetable for the 17 bus is available from the following link:
https://www.transportforireland.ie/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/GAI-Route-17-June-16th.pdf

Alternatively participants can walk from the DART to the UCD Quinn School. The nearest DARTs are Sydney Parade and Booterstown and the distance in both cases is c.2.5km (30 minutes).
For further details about the public transportation see link.
